Dear Trick or Treat Writer
Hi! Thanks for writing for me. I hope this letter is helpful.
Likes (Treats): Hurt/comfort, humour, friendship, family relationships, romance, first time, established relationship, character studies, episode tags, AUs, fix-it fic, characters meeting in the afterlife, deaging, animal transformation, telepathy/empathy, time travel, all of gen, slash, het, and femslash

Notes: I've listed the pairings I like for each fandom in case you want to write shippy fic, but I really like gen as well. And feel free to ignore the specific prompts/ideas below - they're just there if you need some inspiration.
Fandoms:
Harry Potter (Dumbledore, Grindelwald)
Dumbledore: The whole Dumbledore/Grindelwald thing is fascinating to me, and I'd love something exploring it, either when they were young, or later during the war. I'd also really like to see an AU where they stayed together or made up later and either Dumbledore managed to lead Grindelwald back to the side of light, or he went the other way and they took over the world together. If you don't want to write Grindelwald, then I'd be interested in anything exploring his time as teacher/headmaster, especially if it involves gay students coming to him for advice/support.
Grindelwald: Some ideas above, but if you don't want to write Dumbledore I'd be interested in something exploring his search for the Hallows, or the war (is the timing overlap with WWII a coincidence, or was there a reason behind it?), or what he was thinking during his confrontation with Voldemort.
Pairings I like: Dumbledore/Grindelwald
Stargate SG-1 (Sam)
I love Sam, she's my favourite Stargate character. I love her passion for science, and how she's both smart and able to kick ass when necessary. For treats, I'd love to see her interacting with the rest of SG-1, or hanging out with Janet and/or Cassandra, or bonding with her father. For tricks, maybe something goes wrong with the Stargate, or they visit a planet they shouldn't?
Pairings I like: Sam/Janet
Other notes: Background pairings that don't conflict with Sam/Janet are fine.
Star Trek AOS (Spock, Spock Prime)
Spock: I really love AUs (especially dark ones) for this canon, but if you don't want to write that I'd love something dealing with Spock's reaction to the destruction of Vulcan. Either treat-ish fic where someone notices he's in pain and comforts him, or trick-ish fic where everything gets even worse.
Spock Prime: My favourite kind of fluffy fic is where Kirk Prime somehow appears in the AOS universe, but otherwise I'd love to see Spock Prime's reaction to how different the AOS characters are to the people he knew, and maybe him acting as a mentor to his younger self. Or something about his work on the new Vulcan colony could be interesting too - I could see it being a good setting for horror fic, if you wanted to go in that direction.
Pairings I like: Kirk Prime/Spock Prime (past or present), Kirk/Spock, Spock/OMC
Other notes: I'd prefer no Spock/Uhura (even in gen) and no mentions of STID. (Spock&Uhura friendship is fine, though.) Star Trek TOS (Kirk, Spock, Mirror Spock, Scotty, Sulu, Gary Mitchell, Saavik, David Marcus, Gillian Taylor, Sybok)
(I know this is a lot of characters, but they're all ones I'm genuinely interested in and would like to see more of, so whichever one(s) you matched on, I'll be happy.)
Kirk: I'd love anything about his friendship (or more) with Spock, or his backstory, or anything dealing with the aftermath of one or more canon episodes/movies. Or his interactions with other characters like McCoy or Scotty or Uhura.
Spock: As with Kirk, I'd like to see his friendships with other characters, or backstory, or the aftermath of canon episodes/movies.
Mirror Spock: The mirror universe is kind of its own "trick", but I'd be interested in seeing what passes for fluff there. Although the usual murder and mayhem could be fun too. Mirror Spock seems to be less "evil" than the rest of his universe, but he still does things like casually mind-rape people for information. Is he emblematic of Vulcans in this universe, or is he an outlier? How does he get along with other characters? He and Mirror Kirk seem to get along reasonably well, but I assume they didn't always. How would the ISS Enterprise crew react to an entity even more "evil" than they are?
Scotty: How does he feel about being in command when both Kirk and Spock are gone? What does he do for fun (besides reading technical journals)? I'd also like to see him hanging out with some of the other crew, like McCoy, or Spock, or Uhura.
Sulu: I think his interest in plants could be the cause for a really good horror fic. Maybe they grow out of control, or spew dangerous pollen everywhere, or start eating people. I'd also be interested in anything about his friendship (or more) with Chekov, or some of his other hobbies, since he seems to have a new one almost every week.
Gary Mitchell: He was Kirk's best friend for years but we know almost nothing about him. I'd love to see a fic about his friendship with Kirk, maybe exploring some of the stuff mentioned in "Where No Man Has Gone Before", like how they met when he was a student in Kirk's class, or the time he saved Kirk's life.
Saavik: I'd really like to see something exploring her mentor/student relationship with Spock, or why she joined Starfleet and why she chose command instead of science or anything else. Or anything about her backstory, or what she did after we last saw her in The Voyage Home, or how she and David became so close between Wrath of Khan and Search for Spock.
David Marcus: I'd love an AU where he doesn't die, but anything about his relationship with Kirk would be great. The scene in Wrath of Khan where he says he's proud to be Kirk's son is one of my favourites. Or anything about him and Saavik would be good too.
Gillian Taylor: My favourite one-off character. I love her interactions with Kirk and Spock, and how she adjusts so easily to being flung 300 years in the future. I'd like to see how she deals with how different things are in the 23rd century, and maybe teaching others about her own time, because I'm sure they'd be curious. And I'd absolutely love a fic where she's gay/bi and has to adjust to the lack of homophobia in the future.
Sybok: I know a lot of people like to pretend this movie never happened, but I've always found the idea of Spock having this long lost older brother who was exiled from Vulcan for, basically, being too emotional to be fascinating. I'd love an exploration of his relationship with Spock when they were young (in my mind he was one of the few people on Vulcan who was supportive of Spock, which made it worse when he left), or an AU where he doesn't die at the end of the film and they have to deal with everything that happened.
