Thanks. :) I've always thought that Spock's leaving came as kind of a shock to Kirk and so it makes sense to me that he wouldn't want to rush into things once Spock comes back.

And I agree with you about T'Pring, that's part of why I included her. I don't agree with her actions during the episode, but there's so much fic that that shows her as irredeemably evil that I wanted to try a more sympathetic portrayal.
