Dear Every Woman Writer
Hi, thanks for writing for me! Here are some things I hope will help:
Likes: Friendship, family relationships, romance, humour, hurt/comfort, fluff, episode tags/missing scenes, friends-to-lovers, telepathy/empathy, time travel
Dislikes: Non-con, major character death, character bashing, infidelity, threesomes, asexual/aromantic headcanons, pregnancy and parenthood (unless it's canon), explicit sex
Fandoms:
Stargate SG-1 (Sam, Sam & Janet)
Sam's my favourite character in Stargate, and I'd love pretty much any fic about her, whether it's team shenanigans with the rest of SG-1, bonding with her father, or just hanging out doing science stuff. For Sam & Janet, I'd love a shippy fic, but I'm happy with friendship - maybe Sam comes back injured from a mission and Janet has to take care of her? Or the two of them bond over taking care of Cassandra? But really, anything about Sam would be awesome.
Star Trek TNG (Troi)
I'd love friendship fic with the rest of the crew - poker nights, holodeck adventures, shore leave, etc - or Riker/Troi pairing fic. I'd also like anything that includes or explores her empathic abilities, and/or her job as counsellor.
Star Trek TOS (Uhura, Saavik, Gillian Taylor)
Uhura: Anything involving her love of music or languages would be great. For pairings I like Scotty/Uhura and Uhura/Chapel, and I also like Spock and Uhura's friendship (but not as a pairing - Kirk/Spock is my OTP).
Saavik: I find Saavik fascinating, and I'd love pretty much anything about her. Her (platonic) relationship with Spock, her time at the Academy, what she did after The Voyage Home.... Really, anything. For pairings I like Saavik/David Marcus and Saavik/OFC, but gen is great too.
Gillian: Probably my favourite one-off character. I love how at first she's clearly just humouring Kirk about his whole 'save the whales with time-travel' plan, but then she finds out everything he's told her is true and just totally rolls with it. The fic of my heart would be gay-or-bi Gillian reacting to a homophobia-free future, but anything about her adjusting to the 23rd century would be awesome. Especially if she ends up keeping in touch with Kirk (and Spock).
